Summer is here and we need your help in making this a GREAT one for the kids here at Carolina Children's Home!
Imagine some for the wonderful experiences that we could provide to our kids with your personal support -- taking the kids on a day trip to the beach to see the beautiful South Carolina coast for the first time, having a picnic with friends at the park, taking a break from the summer heat to catch a summer blockbuster at the local movie theatre, or merely having an on-campus basketball tournament against friends with a cook-out to follow for everyone to enjoy. Help us give our kids terrific summer memories by considering a donation to the Carolina Children's Home Summer Enrichment Fund!
Carolina Children's Home wants to ensure our children and adolescents have a summer full of similar wonderful memories and experiences. To do this, we need your help making their wish a reality.
Please make a gift supporting the Carolina Children's Home Summer Enrichment Fund!
While the Home's staff works diligently to provide fun and FREE activities for our children to participate in during the summer including: campus field days, basketball and volleyball competitions -- the Summer Enrichment Fund allows children and adolescents in our care the opportunity to enjoy a few "extra-special" summer rights of passage:
- $1,000 takes 15 children to Carowinds for a day;
- $500 enables multiple outings to cultural arts performances at local
theatres;
- $250 allows 15 children to attend a Columbia BlowFish baseball game
while also enjoying hot dogs, drinks, and candy;
- $150 a cook break, ice skating for 2 hours at Plex Indoor Sports;
- $100 purchases new pool supplies for the children to use while learning
how to swim at the campus pool;
- $50 purchases pizza and soda for a "Fun Friday" night for two cottages;
- $25 helps create an ice cream sundae party; and
- Inkind a gift of hot dogs, chips, cups, napkins, plates, and fruit juice allows
our children to have a FREE cook-out on campus.
For 100 years, Carolina Children's Home has provided exceptional service to children and families in crisis through the great generosity of individuals, families and companies within the surrounding communities. With your continued support, the Home will continue to provide care, opportunity and love to the hundreds of South Carolina children and adolescents who pass through our doors annually.
